The city of Oporto, known worldwide for his delicious Port wine, for its narrow streets and medieval buildings and for being one of the best examples of old Europe, was considered as the most romantic destination in the world. According to
USA Today and the site 10Best which have launched a vote to elect the most romantic destination in the world, Oporto city leads a list of 10 winning destinations.
This list resulted from an initial list of 20 destinations, nominated by a panel of specialists in romantic getaways, whose vote was in charge of the readers of these two organs of communication. Once again, the city of Oporto sees its tourist potential being recognized worldwide.
Among the 10 winners are other cities such as Lugano in Switzerland, Lucca in Italy, Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, Budapest in Hungary or Cartagena in Colombia.
